The Ali Act was supposed to protect fighters from crooked scumbags like Don King and Bob Arum. Haymon is actually looking out for the fighters best interests. I just don't see this going anywhere.

Surprised I didn't see this here soon as I got back

        Tidbits I saw while reading
        Here we go.
I know Haymon is probably doing some shaddy ****. I don't doubt it. But for **** sake there is more boxing on free TV.
As a boxing fan I'm happy with it.

yea thats my thing. the true meaning of the law is totally being lost. the ali act was not about anit trust. it was about protecting the fighters. either way, its gonna be very hard to go up against the financial power that hayomn and his allies hav created. oscar is gonna be dumping millions of dollars into a case that will take years to resolve. im assuming thats why the other promoters have chosen to work with haymon as opposed to against him. either way, we'll be hearing about this for a while

He's maneuvered his way around it.

No, he has not maneuvered his way around anything. As long as he is in charge of PBC, he is in violation. He is running the show, it is Haymon who has the investors and Haymon who is paying the fighters' purses and running everything. A manager or advisor is paid by the fighters he manages or advises. He does not pay them. I have said this from the get go, Haymon cannot be the advisor to his fighters and their boss at the same time.

                  THANK YOU GBP!!!!!!!!!

Im not really clear on what standing they have to sue under Ali Act. I assumed it would be used by a fighter not a rival promoter
Read the article but still not sure what he can go after him for. I'm no lawyer.
I think Oscar just wants to *** with him as much as he can.
