My, my. These old "Floyd is scared" prediction threads are all of a sudden popping up like unsinkable rubber duckies in the ocean.

This thread is hilarious not beause Mayweather won but because the shoulder roll actually worked. Pacquiao hit a combo which knocked down Cotto exactly the same with Mayweather in the 4th round but Mayweather shoulder rolled the right hand. Jim Lampley goes crazy and says"Big right hand from Pacquiao!" and I don't blame him because it definitely looked like it landed.

I went back and sure enough Mayweather successfully shoulder rolled it, exact same combination which hurt Cotto.

I think that Floyd fights better against southpaws because he becomes more offensive oriented whenever he challenges them. For the exceptions of Robert Guerrero and Manny Pacquiao; Floyd typically likes to walk his south paw opponents down. Examples of these are: Demarcus Corley, Sharmba Mitchell, Zab Judah and Victor Ortiz.

Moreover, he finds a home for those lead and pull counter right hands against the lefty's as well which neutralizes their left hands. This was why Manny had so much trouble releasing that punch because Money May would time and counter it each time he attempted to throw it.

I called it before the fight that if Pac was unable to land his right hand he would have trouble against Mayweather because that is the punch that Floyd is the most vulnerable against when he is facing southpaws because it travels from a much wider angle than the straight left making it more difficult to react to it.

Lol all of you are missing the point.

The southpaw stance will only work with 2 hands.

He wasn't able to use his right power jab, right hook coz of his torn rotator after the 4th flurry sequence.

The right hand is important to set up his left. The right hand is also important to occasionally be used to mix up his arsenal.

Pac was effective hitting Floyd with his left, he just not as effective at he should be coz he was a 1 handed fighter that relied to much with his left. You guys conveniently left the most important part that affected pac's performance. He was handicapped. Cheers flowmos! Your boxer had a hard time winning over a 1 handed man. It's like ting he beat a handicapped man that is 50% efficient

And the funny part is, some even believe Pac won that fight. Imagine that, Floyd losing to a one armed man.

                  Priceless! )

Yup, but when he tried to stay close this is what happens. So he ran for dear life.
