i disagree. andre ward said it best when he said "moving down is not an option". that's how fighters ruin themselves. golovkin has to settle business at middleweight before he moves up and then move up for good. dropping 2 lbs to fight a jmw is probably doable, but i think k2 can put up enough money to get someone like lara to fight at the full limit. apart from the canelo fight, lara has never earned as much as a golovkin opponent

If he was going all the way down to 154 I would agree. 157 or 158 is'nt going to ruin him. That is 1 or 2lbs less than he has weighed in for his last two fights and he looked great.

I will eagerly await the final punch stats to once again disprove this BS about how GGG has poor defense. Of all these people who dump on Golovkin's defense, not one has ever produced any stats to back up their point.

Sorry but I have nothing to back up here, I wasn't diss Golovkin I just simply said what I saw and what I think everyone saw who have eye(s). He has trust in his chin because it looks like it's strong but he literally defended shots with his head against Murray all night and if you look at how he KO's Geale that was also a situation when Geale caught him square I mean it was a clean blow to the head but Golovkin instead of bothering with defense punched a more powerful and KOd Geale. Some fighters' defense is his offense, Golovkin is that type, he outguns his opponents and with his power he keep them shook. Murray was pretty game though... You can look up you punch stats but they only prove what I said namely that Golovkin outguns his opponents and make them gunshy they just want to survive, it's not surprising but this won't make Golovkin's actual defense good. If he will meet (and I think he will at some point) an opponent who won't be fuzzed by only his offense and will counter him at will, then it will be too late to change for Golovkin. Look at Pac, his offense was basically his defense, he swarmed many guys but there was a Marquez who always gave him problems.
