Super 6 started in 2009!!! What has Ward done lately? NOTHING AT ALL! So yes, he is a has been until he takes on a couple of genuine contenders. And his 'layoff' which was of his own making is not a valid excuse. Ali came back from a three and a half year layoff and fought Quarry, Bonavena and Frazier in less than 5 months!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me know when Ward fights three fighters of that quality in that short a period of time and I will agree with you that he is a great fighter and is on top of the sport. Until then, stop talking with Ward's **** in your mouth because it makes you sound like an idiot.

I am an unabashed Ward hater and look for any chance to pick on him.
I do however respect him as a boxer and don't believe he didn't want Froch it's rather both guys wanted money for easier challenges (i mean who doesn't?)

I wish I could like Ward. Ever since he hugged the crap out of Edison Miranda in 2009 I have hated him. He's so damn talented yet he still hugs people.
He was better in his last fight though I admit my memory is fuzzy on it since it was so long ago.

Maybe one day I will turn my opinion around on the guy but yes I am definitely biased against the man.

Ward put himself on the shelf as the dispute was initiated by Ward himself acting like a spoiled little child. He got what he deserved - a series of losses in court and if Goosen had not died, this would still be before the court and Ward would still be sitting on his ass.

You are not a boxing fan. You're a gossip girl. You reveal it when you basically root for Dan Goosen (the promoter) over Andre Ward (the fighter). I bet you were waving your pom poms for team Goosen the entire time. If the fighter and representives feel like their contract is unfair it is their duty and obligation to take legal action to remedy the grievance. Dan Goosen would have been happy to have Ward work for him under a contract that Ward deemed unfair for his entire career because that's what promoters do, if allowed. So saying that it was Ward who initiated the litigation against Goosen makes no point what so ever because without him doing so his grievances would have never been addressed. It worked out for him because he is out of that contract and his career is back on track. But you're a Goosen-Tutor fan and a gossip girl so you're going to be against Ward regardless.
