I am an unabashed Ward hater and look for any chance to pick on him.
I do however respect him as a boxer and don't believe he didn't want Froch it's rather both guys wanted money for easier challenges (i mean who doesn't?)

I wish I could like Ward. Ever since he hugged the crap out of Edison Miranda in 2009 I have hated him. He's so damn talented yet he still hugs people.
He was better in his last fight though I admit my memory is fuzzy on it since it was so long ago.

Maybe one day I will turn my opinion around on the guy but yes I am definitely biased against the man.

ward-rodriguez was the worst! he literally stuck himself to rodriguez like glue for the first 5 rounds. eventually rodriguez gave up and just stood there so ward could throw punches at him.

It's at 172 because Ward would have trouble making 168 after such a long lay off. It also means that Ward's last remaining title will not be on the line and it SHOULD mean that he will be stripped of that title, but of course he will not be.

And once he proves he can fight at 172, he will challenge Chavez Jr. to a fight between has-beens.
