Come on man, Mikey is way more skillful than Chavez Jr. They're a different class of fighter.

Mikey Garcia is more likely to be the next Andre Ward...stuck in inactivity due to contract disputes. He's not a spoilt lazy fcuk quitter like Chavez at all.

Mikey's best win is over a 12 loss fighter. I don't care for chavez jr but I actually have read he has talent, he's just lazy. Garcia hasn't really impressed me, don't get me wrong, I don't wish him bad & I hope to become a fan but so far all I've seen is a slow/robotic poor mans version of De La Hoya, 1,2,3 rinse & repeat....

Miley's a big boy I have no doubt he can hang in 140 but I think he's more disciplined than jr so I think hell probably tread 135 lightly right now. I don think he balloons up in between fights. One things for sure, he defiantly took note from jrs mistake

I agree with those who say there isn't much comparison.

Mikey Garcia has legitimate talent. I mean like borderline P4P talent. I'm not saying that he's P4P top ten or anything, but that's more due to the fact of his recent inactivity. But he was well on his way back when he was fighting regularly.

Jr. on the other hand made a career off being the bigger guy in the ring and bullying smaller opposition, but damn, Julio straight up sucks. Lol and people call Brandon Rios a walking punching bag...Julio is just as bad if not worse defensively. On a scale from 1 to 10 defensively Julio is an 0.7

Mikey Garcia is better than JCC p4p in every way shape and form and technically superior as well. His mind will keep him solid even after his physical attributes go away.

Has he signed up with Haymon yet? He'd better do it quick.

garcia is a serious talent and technician. the kid is freaking sharp.

chavez doesn't jave skills or talent like that.

they only thing they have in common is weight cutting. they are massive gys who kill themselves to make lighter weight classes.

                    @ rides the family name.

mikey is the most talented boxer in that family. he has tremendous power, and very good speed, particularly for a mexican fighter.
