What I mean is, will he suffer the same fate? There are some similarities between the 2. Personally I think he's ruining his career. I think whatever Arum was paying him was probably very generous for a 130lb fighter. And the rumors or dreams of him fighting TC or Manny Pacquiao one day are ridiculous, he'd get murdered by both. Personally I think he should've unified 130 than moved up to 135, he's to small and inexperienced to hang with the big boys @140 & he needs to steer clear of Crawford but I have a feeling he will comeback off a lay off and bite off more than he can chew, this considering he was getting knocked down at 126 & 130...
Will Mikey Garcia be the next Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.?

Nah, he is simply more talented than Chavez Jr and i dont think his carier will be embarassing like Julio's, but it looks like he doesnt have a hunger, which means he will never become a great fighter.Comment

Mikey Garcia is tons more talented than Chavez.
Although I can see 140 being an issue, he has the frame but I don't think he'll be grown into it if he tries to be a star immediately.
Unless he's been preparing for 140 during all this time off.Comment

Doesn't make weight, rides a family name, wasted talent, tries to get more $ from Arum than he's worth, and will probably bite off more than he can chew coming back.Comment

I think his frame would be good at 135 max! He's small in the shoulders and doesn't carry much muscle.Comment
