that said, vegas likes pac fights on the strip. he brings a lot of asian high rollers.
Yeah, the Thomas & Mack isn't as convenient as the MGM Grand Garden Arena, especially if you're coming from the Wynn, which is who Arum has been dealing with for some non-MGM fights like Bradley-Marquez and Martinez-Chavez Jr., but it's still a viable venue.

Top Rank seems certain to choose that over working with the MGM again.

What's interesting to me is that the MGM is so strongly aligned with Mayweather and Haymon (and Schaefer), while Oscar has clearly chosen to align himself with Arum...and he's been pretty vocal this week about all kinds of issues relating to this fight...from the ticket situation to Ellerbe to Bayless.

I'd just be interested to see, when Canelo has his next Las Vegas fight, whether GBP takes it to the MGM or another venue.

        they'll make up. money talks.

        they did before.

when arum took his fights elsewhere, vegas felt it and made up.

the biggest difference with al/schaefer and bob is bob shops around while al/schaefer likes exclusive deals.

The Thomas and Mack is a horrible place to hold any kinda sporting event. Straight up dreadful tbh.

            it don't matter.

            it's cool for non-mega fights.

maybe the celebs won't go there but normal boxing fans do.

as far as mega fights, believe me if canelo/pac fight is not mgm, they'll find a spot. places will jump on it.

This is amazing to me. I guess it shouldn't, because it's f**king boxing, but the fuq?

Bob Arum beef or not, the 2nd biggest name in the sport, and he's going to be fighting at your venue in the biggest fight of this generation...and he's not even allowed at the Grand Arrival?
