Comments Thread For: Dereck Chisora: David Price is The Fight I Want!

DERECK CHISORA will step on to a basketball court before he steps back into the ring.
The former European heavyweight champion is set to fight David Price as he steps up his comeback after losing to Tyson Fury last November.

But Chisora, 31, will be aiming for a slam dunk rather than a knockout at the O2 on May 10 as part of charity basketball event Hoops Aid.

And he'll be up against the likes of "world's strongest footballer" Ade Akinfenwa, The Voice winner Jermain Jackman, Steve-O from Jackass and former Olympians John Regis, Jamie Baulch and Andy Turner.

Dereck Chisora used to be a hunger brawler prepared to walk through shots in order to put his guy under immense pressure; this guy no longer exists.

I think even David Price should be able to beat the journeyman that turned up to fight Fury hoping to land 1 big right hand.

Fury did make it look easy, but if Chisora stands in front of Price like he did Fury then Price should have enough pop to keep him at bay.

If he fights him the chisora should aim to be in the 250s. The extra weight will help him absorb shots better. Dropping another 20 doesn't make him any faster. He just needs to make sure he can go 12.

I noticed Sauerland on twitter the other day saying that they had made Chisora a very good offer to fight Price. Chisora replied saying it wasn't true.

Looks like a fight they are trying to get made.

Crossroads fight for both. The winner stays in the mix for another big fight. If chisora loses he will still be able to get good domestic level fights & could be a nice gatekeeper because he can go rounds & is a colourful character. If price loses he should hang it up. I suspect if price loses it will be by knockout.

As bad as Chisora looked against Tyson Fury, I find it to be surprising that he would want to fight again regardless of whom his opponent is.

Price copies the Tyson Fury strategy the only exception is that the KO will be more explosive.

Whoever loses though eventually gets fed to Joshua.

Still a good fight. Will be very happy to see this happen.

Chisora finishes Price inside 6 rounds imo
