This fight is marinating nicely. Lots of people shook lots of sensitivity and hatred. I think it happens and I think Kov is a 60/40 favorite.

But in 12 months time, after more of your " marinating ", the fight will slip more toward Kovalev.

Fonfara, Sukhotsky, Bika is not the best option financially when there's Kovalev, Hopkins, Pascal, all fights he missed out on somehow.

I still got Kovalev winning this. It's obvious Kovelevs side has backed off and given Stevenson the illusion of gaining momentum in this fight. Kovalev is still a large bargaining chip and by playing coy backing off from Stevenson, they will in turn make Haymon so antsy for this fight they may take a lesser offer. Because one way or another I highly doubt Kovalev's plan is to just flat out avoid Adonis, I mean come on

WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson wants Sergey Kovalev, the WBO/IBF/WBA champion, to step up and fight. Last December, Kovalev's promoter Main Events had made a request for their fighter to become the mandatory challenger to Stevenson. The request was approved. He then beat Jean Pascal in a WBC eliminator in March.

The WBC set a purse bid for Stevenson-Kovalev, but then Main Events withdrew from the eliminator. They wanted the fight to be on HBO and Stevenson's team want the purse bid winner to select the network.

Stevenson says Kovalev withdrew from the purse bid process to avoid the fight.

I would venture the new HBO deal is the biggest payday, closely followed by a Pascal rematch.

Depends on who will be at the gate... A Pascal rematch would be his best bet but is not likely to happen soon... Kovalev will be left with A- grade opponents after last week debacle just like Stevenson after moving to Showtime and being ducked (because that's basically what it was) by Hopkins... Stevenson / Kovalev $$$ and fame can't be matched by any of his fights in the next 2 years.

I actually think she believed she would win the purse bid at that time, it was before Haymon's investor war chest was uncovered.

I think she lost her cool when the WBC actually put Kovalev as the mandatory upon her request... Little finger tells me she didn't think that would happen... She knew she would lose the bid then and she went backwards from there.

Name me Stevenson's last two opponents plus the venue, then name me Kovalev's last two opponents plus the venue.
