That was a brutal beating, provodnikov has a hell of a chin!
Agree with ts, they are very biased and its really disappointing that a big channel like hbo can be so amateurish.
Very frustrating to watch a lot of action from one fighter and the commentators just ignore it and talk about something else then the fight that is live.

Truthfully I switched my stream to the uk version because of him. I don't care about cattle country, Argentina nor whatever small town ruslans from. During the fight I want a play by play and analysis of the actual fight. Not a bio that'll have me disinterested or possibly not know what's landing if I were a casual.

Al that bio crap is good before the fight or during their ring walks/announcement or whatever. But oh well, lampley does what lampley does

Lampley keeps talking about where they come from while lucas keeps landing on provo bomb after bomb. but any time provo lands something similar he jumps from his chair (just watch the whole fight). yeah, they weren't biased....

btw, imo this could've been scored a 10/8 round

yea they where trying to hype up provo and say nothing bout matthysse skill i heard nothing only when provo did something which wasnot until the late rounds the scoring was pretty bad in this fight

I just watched this again a couple of times...I don't see anything that wrong.
Jim called and credited Lucas for his big shots... Mentioned Lucas was hammering him and it was "big round" for Lucas.

So he went off a bit talking about his back story. I think that's fine. Roy touched on what happened after.

Lucas fans shouldn't get mad that Jim and Roy weren't having an ****** watching Lucas throwing shots.

I'm a fan, and I agree. I think it's a number of factors.

1. He was seriously rocked in the 11th.
2. He hurt his right hand badly in the 6th.
3. His corner telling him he had a comfortable lead.

I was there in decent seats and at times you could clearly hear the thudding shots. Great time. One thing though, even though Lucas is clearly confident and pretty accurate in his onslaught in round 6, I felt like he never truly threw anything hard enough to convince me he was trying to go for a KO. Am I the only one who feels that way? It's like he threw hard enough shots to keep him off of him. Didn't feel like he was going for a KO.

Im with u. Lucas boxed him up good. He didn't look like the Lucas that pummeled Humberto Sotot. That was the Matthysse I was hoping to see Saturday.

Ya he didn't make the fight quite live up to the hype. But it was ruslan that wanted the war, Matthyse was saying from the get go he would box. I was kinda disappointed in the clinches from matthyse tho
