It was brutal but I never saw prov on the verge of being dropped, I personally only score a 10-8 if the guy is being battered around the ring and barely standing. I think I gave prov a 10-8 in his Bradley fight where Tim looked out on his feet. And ya lampley is brutal. I've said it before hbo is basically a podcast with guys just talking **** and giving their opinion.

How in the world did Provodnikov stand up to that? What a monster chin he has. There probably isn't another super lightweight in the world that could take that many hard shots from Matthysse and not go down.

I don't think Lampley was particularly biased there, but it still sums up what's wrong with him. He doesn't call the action, he comments on it and goes off on tangents. That's why he loses touch with what's actually going on.

Also, isn't Hopkins a Golden Boy shareholder? He shouldn't be commentating on a bout involving one of his company's fighters.

That was a thorough beating from Matthysse. I don't like to give 10-8 rds unless there was a KD, but I have seen dozens of 10-8 rds where the loser didn't take half as much punishment as Provo did.

I'll say it again. The one that pissed me off the most is when they traded hooks and he only called out Provodnikov's hook. Thinking about it still pisses me off. What a f@g.
