anybody else find al haymon action weird with chavez?

We all know al haymons as the low risk fights and never ending tune ups

But what was he thinking putting chavez who hasnt been in the ring in over a year against someone who a legit contender, someone who just fought the champ and dropped him....that so unlike Haymon to put a dangerous opponent aganst his big names ..especially when he just signed the fighter....What ya take?

Plenty of people thought Fonfara was going to win myself included. In fact I thought Fonfara would walk through Chavez Jr which he did.

Nah I think it was Junior idea to fight Fonfara and Al just let him have it.

Remember Broner fought Maidana too so there was no agenda.

fonfara has been ko'd and got dropped twice against stevenson. chavez thought his chin was good enough and that he would be able to get to fonfara but he forgot that he himself was a bum

Terrible matchmaking for Chavez. He'd been off for over a year and had never fought anyone nearly that big. Say what you want about Top Rank, but they never would have screwed up this badly.

Haymon wins anyway. I really believe he had a plan designed for Fonfara going into this fight and Jr was a wildcard pawn, and it worked out. Now the excuse for Jr is that he simply has to go down in weight, meanwhile Fonfara boosts his name and status at LHW after fighting a non-LHW renowned name. **** Haymon and his entire family.
