I'll say the same thing I said before the fight-- father knows best.

He needs to stop lunging in like a damn bull or whatever tactic he tries to use and put his damn hands up. I actually started laughing at him last night, wondering what in the hell he was doing. He looked like a complete fool, walking in like that just eating punches....then to claim he was winning the fight? That's what happens when you live up on that pedestal. When you fall off, you find out the ground is a cold, hard place.
1000% in agreement with this post! His tactics work against smaller men who cannot push him off, it was funny watching fonfara shoving his @ss back with ease. It amazes me how many people kept validating this guy like he wasn't simply draining down to bully the hell out of smaller guys, the moment he's put across from someone who walks around his same weight he gets shown to be nothing special. Sr is wasting his breath though because the kid even in defeat tried to justify his defeat every way he could even going as far as to outlandishly say he felt he was winning the fight.

Ha ha ha . You want Chavez to be the bullie , right ? To fight at 168 and come at 180 pounds and fight 160 fighters , right ? Like he has always done in his career.
Ha ha . Chavez and Leo pantycruz are just bums , fighting mismatches and bullying with their weights and size advantage . What a shame .

Hit and not be hit .

The thing about Haymon is he's an entertainment manager with a background in music. He is an opportunist and a promoter. What he is not is a boxer...nor does he have an knowledge about what it is that makes a boxer even when he is watching it before his eyes. ANYONE....ANYONE AT ALL...with a bit of knowledge about the sport would know what happened last night was going to happen. Because Jr is not a boxer but he's to ****** to know that...probably even now.

There's an old B & W movie called "Requiem for a Heavyweight" with Anthony Quinn and Jackie Gleason where they promoted a fighter...his opponents were paid to take dives and he didn't know it and he believed he was real...it reminds me of Jr.

Now if Jr had his father as his advisor...he'd have said "listen son....let's not look a gifted horse in the mouth. You have no talent or skills for this game yet because you are my son you can make millions fighting tomato cans. But don't kid yourself because you are high and start thinking you can fight".

Jr should just go away now...please just go away.

I'm still a fan of Jr but I'm so disappointed in him for quitting. I thought it was a courageous effort up until he quit. He took on the #4 ranked LHW after a 13 month layoff...

IDK, I got a mix of opinions. I will wait until his next fight to see how I really feel.

Good Post !!! Except one thing ; WTF does any of this have to do with Al Haymon ??? Now Haymon is also to blame when a slothful and skill-less fighter like Chavez gets outclassed again ? If Haymon is to blame for what happened to Chavez last night then WTF do corners and others in a fighters camp do ?
