The thread is about Sr's comment that this fight was wrong for JR. Sr knew and said so before the fight...it was pretty easy too see. Haymon couldn't see that...he obviously thought he would do much better and after having signed him up you would think that he had a long term interest in Jr. Now in retrospect I'm sure he wouldn't have wanted this fight to happen (Haymon) and if he understood boxing he'd have know what was going to happen to his client from the get-go. That is my point and no camp or corner-man would make Jr into something that he could never be...he's just not very good or smart enough nor dedicated.

Jr was just smoke and mirrors...now the mirror broke...and I enjoyed the crash and predicted the outcome and said so in many posts prior to the fight.

How would he look better at 168?

God damn, I didn't know he looked like that.

I wanna say maybe a diet change could help.

Not good, but it's 168 or nothing, because he can't compete at LHW.

Maybe he won't be able to compete at 168 either, but he can give it a try. Needs to take diet and training seriously, no more "I'll do it my way nonsense".

he looks drained because hes not making weight correctly and then blowing up between fights..... he didn't look toned in the fight ......... looked even slightly fleshy !......... he needs a years hard training with a good technical trainer, a few tune up fights, with no more than 10-15 pounds weight gain between fights!... thats before he even thinks about a championship

if he hasn't got the dedication he should just retire and be a weed head

I can agree with most of what ur saying except for ur implication that if Haymon was more knowledgable about boxing he wouldn't of made this matchup . Haymon can't find a silver lining for a sloth like this , he's bound to lose against anyone .

No...they created a resume of won 48 (KO 32) + lost 2 (KO 1) + drawn 1 = 52 for him and that illusion made him and Arum millions so clearly there are plenty of candidates to make Jr look sort of good to the casual fan and proud Mexicans. Haymon obviously didn't think he would lose like that or he wouldn't have made the fight...don't you get it? He couldn't see the obvious. I saw a pole on here yesterday where 60% thought that Jr would win...Haymon is as clueless as the average poster on here.

Anyways...if you don't get it that's fine...I'm not going to try to explain it any further.

Jr is done. His only weapons were size and chin, above 160 he has nothing. - See my avi? That´s me when I was 9 yo and I still have better foot work than JCC Jr

He couldn't compete with the top 10 168 lbs fighters and at 29 yrs old he's out grown his ability to make 160...and that's if he was mentally prepared to jump back in right away which I highly doubt.

It took a year for him to get over the Martinez loss and for people to forget it at least a little...and at least instead of quitting on the stool he managed to rally a bit in the 12th and score a knock down in that fight. If he attempts a comeback in a year he'd be 30 years old and 160 will be all the harder for him to make. If he could then he might try to rematch Lee if he was still relevant...but I doubt he'd make weight. His options don't look great and I don't think he would get the support even from the Mexicans now or then if he tried. I wouldn't be surprised if he calls it a day.

I wish I could find the thread where I said this would happen and cause his retirement about a month ago where people argued with me in Jr's defense and thought he'd win or move down after. I'd bump it for a laugh.
