I don't know man. Both fighters weighed in at 171. 168 is not much lower so If he meets an opponent of the same caliber and skill set as Fonfara it will be the same results...Can't just over power everybody. I thought when Julio finally started throwing the jab in that 1 round he looked good but didn't follow up with the body punches he had been throwing it's obvious that hes going to need some more stamina to salvage whats left of his boxing career and throw that danm JAB!

Still many props to Jr for taking this fight, finally someone who takes risky fights in hope of ultimate glory but Fonfara was just too big, jr couldnt hurt him so he saved himself for another day. Nothing bad about that

So he takes a tough fight and you still blame Haymon?

How would he look better at 168?

I agree with this. Chavez Jr. is in the same spot as Donaire seems to be-stuck between weight classes-can barely make the lower weight and too small for the upper weight.

Look when you get a gift decision against Vera and struggle in the rematch then maybe that should be a sign. There is Noone elite at 168 that he has a shot against either.

To his father's credit he did call this from the start. He knows his son is only good because of his size.

                      Simply put, Sergio is overrated.
