Comments Thread For: Roach: I Rate Ward, Golovkin Above Duck Mayweather!

Wow you're so biased it's ridiculous. You literally criticize Mayweather for having a weak resume. Not even three sentences later you praise Golovkin because he's willing to fight "regardless of the opponent". If that's not being a hypocrite I don't know what is.
If Mayweather has a weak resume, Golovkin has no resume and is still fighting amateurs. You should be criticizing GGG even more considering how weak his resume is in comparison to Mayweather's. If Mayweather is overrated because his resume is weak and he hasn't faced many impressive fighters to you, how can you say anyhting different about GGG?
Some people just prefer to watch the sport and not get so attached to the pageantry. If you dislike Mayweather and hope he loses that's fine, just stop acting like everyone has to share your clearly biased opinion.
Mayweather is in his 5th division undefeated, P4P #1, how can you say that what Ward or GGG have done is more impressive when Mayweather is rated higher by every knowledgeable boxing source, has more notable wins, beat more p4p ranked opponents, made more money, is notably older and STILL higher rated, dominated the sport for 19 years?
That hate is so strong.
Stats DO NOT define a fighter's greatness. Adversity does. As I've stated, how many legacy fights does Floyd have? Do you honestly think he's soooo good, that he'd be undefeated, if he had been fighting A Level fighters? I do think what Ward did thus far in his career, is more impressive than what Floyd has done. The jury is still out on GGG, BUT he is willing to challenge himself, in a way Floyd was not.Comment

is it floyds fault anybody he steps in ring with he makes them mediocre or is that a true testament to his greatness you bias is showing ward has done nothing except for super 6 and most of key stars dropped out because of injuries you can't use the since he undefeated he haven't fought no one argument but then goes on to say ward is better when he undefeated also triple G won't even be mention because everything resume wise screams weakStats DO NOT define a fighter's greatness. What Ward has done this far arguably isn't even better than what Floyd has done at 130 lbs.Stats DO NOT define a fighter's greatness. Adversity does. It's definitely isn't better than what Floyd has done at 130-135.

Except of course when it has to do with your favorite fighter (s).Stats DO NOT define a fighter's greatness. Adversity does. As I've stated, how many legacy fights does Floyd have? For the first 10yrs of his career Floyd fought the top, ranked guys, several who owned title belts.
For the second phase of his career Floyd fought the top ranked guys, the majority having title belts at the time he faced them.
In fact, Floyd has taken almost 2 year breaks, returned to face the top ranked opponents in their division, beat them, and lifted their belts and titles.
What other opponent can you say the same for?
We'll wait a little while.
Time's up.Comment

When exactly was he supposed to fight Rafael Marquez and Too Sharp Johnson? Please elaborate...Comment

Dude you are biased! Who did Floyd duck? He wanted to fight Cotto but Arum said no! Wanted to fight Mosley but he was hurt, agreed to fight Margo but wanted a money and fighter package deal to fight Cotto I believe but Arum Blocked it! Who did he duck? And who on Ward and GGG resume makes them better than Floyd? Froch and Murray?? Bahaaaaahaaahaaa!! I don't know why I'm debating with you when PAC got almost the same resume as Floyd but fighters that Floyd fought first! I guarantee that PAC won't fight Canelo! Before he was a monster, but after he was a green kid! How you turn a monster into a cherry pick!! SKILL AND DOMINATION!! y'all might as well start calling PAC a CHERRY PICK!!! Even Roach said that they have to fight the perfect fight to win! Who says that about a overrated fighter!!Stats DO NOT define a fighter's greatness. Adversity does. All those guys was title holders or rated highly when manny was on those divisions can't say Floyd ducked fighters in his division then say manny wasn't suppose to fight guys ranked highly in division he was in at timeComment

See. This shows me you are a fanboy. So, would Floyd have made Martinez look mediocre at 154lbs? Paul Williams at 147lbs? Manny 5 years ago? Clottey at 147lbs? Bradley at 147lbs? Khan at 147lbs? Stop making excuses man. Us real fans know Floyd is an insecure fighter and person and it has a whole lot to do with who he fights and when he fights them. It took him damn near 2months to sign to fight the little ol Pacman. Get real. He's a PUNK with skill.Comment

number 63
Absurd. And you cant argue Ward either because of inactivity.
I could be wrong, it is difficult to keep track, but I think that is the 63rd ****** comment from Freddie Roach since the fight got signed.
Somebody needs to tell that man to pull his head in.Comment
