No matter who Rigondeaux fights, it is important he knows that he has to fight in a more friendly style from now on.
Fans are turned off by guys going half arse, and content with cruising to a UD.

        About time.

He's always ****ing on about going to fights to confront people and then never does it. Not that it matters a *** anyway.

What he needs is some promotional clout and hopefully now he's going to get it.

Where does this notion come that Rigo has to fight in a more friendly style? What is it based on exactly?

I mean do you guys take Arum and Dan Rafael's word as gospel?

Rigo dominates Donaire from beginning to end then Arum throws a fist, Fat Dan throws a fist and HBO throws a fist and now all of a sudden Rigo is unwatchable?!?

Fact is Rigo's career was doing fine until Bob Arum threw a hissy fit after the Donaire fight.

To everyone on this thread who has said he needs to fight differently...he doesn't have to do anything but continue winning. Period. And to the poster Golovkin who is happy to see a man losing his lively hood because he is boring* you are beta male as fuc. Only a cornball waste of space as a true man wishes failure on another. You don't have to wish him well but to want to see a man's lively hood taken away from him is weak. Extremely weak. The type of guy who gets upset when a guy dates a girl he likes but never made a move on. You're weak son. Pathetic

The reason Rigo hasn't with Frank Warren, or Haymon or whoever is because they refuse to co-promote with Caribe. You can't really blame them. Why should they co-promote with Caribe, when they're going to be the ones putting up all the money and Caribe is just going to take money?

He's got to leave Caribe before anything happens.
hm, yeah I agree Caribe is a Problem, a big 1, but if anyone can maneuver around that legal stuff, I'd think Al Haymon Inc would be the 1's with deep enough Pockets to maybe even buyout Rigo's contract from Caribe.

It pisses me off that they wont just let Rigo buyout his contract when they cannot get him any meaningful fights and more importantly financial security for such a great talent at his advanced age.

Surely Caribe have no say over who Rigo chooses as his manager? And if he has Haymon then you'd back him to run rings around the amateur hour Caribe folks.

Part of it is also Rigo's fault as well. He's loyal to Caribe because he feels like they took a chance on him and stayed with him since the beginning. When in reality it wasn't an act of charity by them, he was just one of their only fighters who just happened to become successful and now they've been riding him ever since. Basically they've brainwashed him.

Unfortunately for him, the other promoters want nothing to do with Caribe. According to Hyde, Rigo was offered a massive deal by Frank Warren and Roc Nation back when his contract expired with Top Rank. Neither Roc Nation or Warren were able to come to an agreement with Caribe.

It comes from watching his bloody fights!
They're not fan friendly, and they tend to be boring.
Are there some people like yourself who like that kind of style? Sure. But the mainstream don't.
