Please be Haymon, please be Haymon, please be Haymon...

Makes sense as its his manager Hyde whos contract is coming up, not his promoter Caribe.

I don't care if you are an undisputed champion in three weight classes; if you spoil your way to victory fighting on the backfoot the whole damn fight, you do not belong on television. Period.

99% of boxing fans and people who watch fights want to see Pacquiao-Marquez, Berto-Ortiz, Rios-Alvarado, Bradley-Provodnikov, etc, and these fans do not owe anyone a living.

Entertain the people. If you do not, you can get the **** out of the sport.
People acting like Rigos style is why he isnt getting fights is ****ing annoying. Hes a midget Cuban with a terrible team behind him and the ability to be a massive favourite over everyone in the division.

Kiko Martinez (before Frampton pt.2) was a brawling power punching world champion, and the guy couldnt even get on tv in his own country. Only reason he ended up getting paid was because he was very beatable.

The amagasa vs rigo fight was very entertaining, and the fight before was a ko.1. Yet he still cant get fights because the risk /reward is too high to fight him.

'Entertainment' has jack to do with why he cant fights and money. Sport is entertainment by itself, why do so.many people tune in to watch Golf or Darts or baseball? Because of the unknown outcome, the prestige associated with the event and to watch people do amazing things.

I do agree that Caribe are ****, but if he signs with Haymon as his manager they will be little more than puppets anyway. He would most likely fight under the PBC banner and god willing Leo Santa Cruz would be an option. Plus he would have some political and financial clout in maybe forcing Quigg or Frampton into the ring.

Well I've kind of given up on Rigo. He's already had the biggest fight of his career, and the inactivity and aging is not good for him.

This next move is his most important one. If he makes the right move, he can finally get his career back on track. If he sticks with Caribe, his career will likely be over.

He's one of my favorite fighters and a great talent but some guys just don't understand the business side of things. This all started when Caribe pissed of Arum and went through all of that legal mess. Since then, Arum went on a mission to show the world that he is not to be ****ed with and succeeded.

10 kos in 15 fights. He doesn't even run that much. His fights are boring because his opponents fear getting countered. You saw in his last fight when the opponent pressed the action you got blood, guts and a bunch of knock downs. The only fight he ran in was Cordoba. The boring campaign was started by Arum and his right hand man, Dan Rafael after Arum was pissed off with Caribe. If you have a power player, you will get on TV. Lara's whole style is based on movement and he headlined a ppv, headlined a show card and is headlining a pbc card in may. Willie Monroe (Banner) is getting an HBO date and Terrance Crawford is getting heavy push.

It takes two to make a great fight. It's funny the boxer always gets blamed for spoiling even when it's the opponent doing it, ie Agbeko.

I'm not one of those people buying a ticket on the Al Haymon express. I think (so far) he's been more or less like any power player that's ever come along in boxing. Al's done some good things in and for the sport, but also some not so good things.

That much to say, Rigo signing with Haymon would be a very good move for his career. Both LSC and Martinez are Haymon fighters, so those matchups would be very doable. After all, if Haymon gets the super bantamweight king, an LSC loss shouldn't really worry him. Haymon could also bring some extra money to the table to entice Frampton and/or Quigg to take Rigo on.

I don't really understand the criticism of Rigo hurting PBC's image. Rigo has demonstrated he can be exciting when matched with opponents possessing the right attributes (like Amagasa's size advantage or someone like Martinez's come forward style). If and when Rigo plays it conservative, it's his opponent's job to figure out a way to successfully engage him. With more money behind him in Haymon, Rigo will be able to have suitable style matchups made available to him, as well as better opponents that can "figure him out."

I do think Rigo should try to fight before September, though. Even if it's against a mediocre opponent, it's better than being inactive and potentially stepping in against a top level guy.

And that has nothing to do with my point. One guys getting fights the other isn't.
