If Manny fought at 140 his entire career, who goes 12 with him? Maybe one or two guys but he is a one punch KO fighter down there. Hagler fought at Middleweight his entire career. He is a freak of nature, also. I consider Hagler to be the greatest Middleweight ever. Manny is the only 8 division champion in history. That alone should make him top 10-15. Who he fought to get to where he is today, makes him top 5-7 in my book. He is a ring immortal. To make it even more impressive, he made an entire career, without using a sustained jab. He doesn't need a jab or he doesn't need to fight inside. If that isn't unheard of, I don't know what is.
      Bingo.

Also Pacquiao's flaws are right there in front of you. Every trainer, fighter and analyst has talked about his weaknesses, it's been heavily documented yet only a few were successful in beating him. He came and conquered 8 divisions with a reckless approach, a feat no one has reached in the history of boxing.

There's always a sense of bravado in each of his victorious fights. He's quite honestly what you want out of your boxer. You may not like his fanbase but if you're a fan of the sport, you absolutely have to acknowledge Pac's position in the annals of ATG.

At lightweight, surely... no one beats Duran or Chavez Sr.

But at 140, which I suspect would have been Pac's prime weight class,..I think PAC would be competitive with anyone ranked here. Again, we never saw PAC much at this weight.

I love to imagine how these fights would have played out at 140

Even matching him against an elite level talent above his weight class in fantasyland is far too great an expectation for Starvin' Marvin.

The ******ity here is endless. Pacquiao is a promoter creation full of weight draining strategies and opportunistic matchups after his opponents already lost. Hagler beat everybody and fought everybody. My favorite hagler fights are against mugabi , hearns , and duran. Pakiao and mayweather are overhyped with todays media. Like really who did they beat ? Canelo ( loll ) ? On his knee cotto ? Maidana ( cant even box against a boxer ) ? Paquiao made a name fighting old legends when he was younger , marquez at age 41 backfired though lol. Hagler was never put to sleep like that and any one who tried would end up pissing blood for days. Paquiao has skill ? Against who though ? Bradley a decent boxer boxed circles around his "speed". Its nice to look fast against rios or margarito. Please. Dont compare. The 80s boxers were so superior. Now boxing is garbage. Paper champs and they dont even fight mandatories , just names and the older with name value the better.

Hagler is an ATG as is Pacquiao. But Hagler was a much better fighter. Prime vs Prime, Marvin Hagler KOs Pacquiao.
