It is mannys offensive minded style that has gotten him this far in his career and also garnered the admiration from fans worldwide. Only in America can a fighter who runs from his opponents and potshots his way to victory be the highest paid fighter. Somehow mayweather fooled 800k dumb asses into buying maidana 2 fight (if that's the real number). So basically mayweather made it to the top because his dad and uncles all trained him since he was 2, and was coddled from the olympics and eventually started avoiding the best fighters and has won fights for the last 10 years against b opponents by running and pot shotting and cheat shotting. Manny was literally a starving malnourished teenager when he started boxing. He didn't even have a dad let alone family to take him to the boxing gym. Pacquiao is the true definition of a self made man, he slugged his way to the top beating the piss out of the best boxers on the planet with no Olympic background or big promotional deal while Floyd was getting taught boxing at the age of 2 from his dad and uncles who were world champions themselves. He had an extensive amateur career and was signed with top rank and was already making big money to fight while pacquiao was 16 fighting to get 2 dollars to buy a bag of rice to feed his starving family. Dont take what Roach says literally. Its more like Roach is older now, and his tolerance to take a hit is less. His condition may be more advanced now, so although it seems like to him Pac hits harder, that probably isnt the case.
Roach probably isnt in as good condition as he once was anc cant take a punch as good, although hes hardly taking punches to the chin.Comment

You really think that Manny has had this much success in boxing by being a crude brawler? Manny got alot better and developed his right hand when he went with roach and over the years his defense has been great. Manny wins 18 fights in a row going up in weight against the best in the world and only 1 fighter managed to land a lucky punch in a fight Manny was dominating and was seconds from knocking Marquez out, yet Manny has so many technical flaws? Roach can play the genghis khan card while doing interviews, all he wants. We will see the same Manny, with the same faults and mistakes charging in to meet every counter-punch face-first.

Lol....pacquiao has a unique style of side to side and quick darting movements...no one replicates him and that's a fact.....reckless yeah...let's be fair how many fighters in the last 3 fights have managed to actually unload on pacquaio for a continuation of 3 seconds.....no one....floyds timing was shot even in the last maidana fight who we know was slow and one dimensional.....if pacquaio uses his speed and movement and just gradual pressure floyd will have to open up...that's when pacquaio can catch him even more...mayweather can not fight good going forward......pacquaio has every chance in the world to beat mayweather...I guarantee thatOriginally posted by Isaac Clarke View PostComment

I wouldn't call Manny's defense great. He gets hit a lot in his fights but his defense is good enough because his hands are up and he moves around. That all goes out the window when he's attacking because now he's moving around without any type of guard up to protect his head, jumping in and out throwing punches. Marquez has technical flaws as well, Mayweather exposed all of it when they fought. People considered Marquez an intelligent, high ring IQ, counter-puncher brawler.. which he is but Mayweather showed he had all of that but at a higher level. First class vs. coach or in Mayweather's life.. Private jet vs. first class. Now how can you say Marquez hit Manny with a lucky punch? They fought 3 times before that and all of the fights were extremely close. Marquez was able to time Manny and KO him. I would say Manny and Marquez have about the same level of calculation in the ring. Mayweather has a higher level of calculation.
It's going to be pop pop all night for Mayweather and Manny is going to be eating it.

I cannot wait for May 3rd to get here. I want this fight over to be honest. I wanted to see this fight for so long but all of the media, all of the know nothing casual fans have hijacked my beloved sport. We REAL fans want it back. I know this will bring it lots of $$ and bring boxing on top again, which is fine. But I just cannot cannot stand the things I have to read and the unbelievable nonsense people spew. Of course I am a Floyd fan but 80% of the idiotic crap out there is from Pac fans. I have honestly been waiting to see one Pac fan that is objective or has some legitimate boxing knowledge or a credible take on this match. All of it is just the same garbage "Pac gonna KO dat fool!!" or "Gayweather gonna run dat *****!!!". That shows you who is writing this drivel. Also, anyone who listens to ANYTHING Roach says is a complete fool. He is overrated, and all of his fighters fight one way offensively. He has serious mental problems and contradicts himself at every turn. Pac will perform the same way and look the same. Bobbing and weaving, jumping around, jumping in, giant head as a target, 3-5 punch combos that probably will hit arms and elbows. He will just try to win on activity as most of his fights. I think it is pretty funny how people talk about Floyd's legs being gone, watch how flat footed Pac fights now. He jumps in for his combo spurts but thats it. Problem is he does not have KO power at WW and his jumping in shots do not have the leverage he needs behind them. He needs to be flat footed to punch hard at WW, which he cannot do against Floyd. I could be wrong but I just do not see Pac being able to stop or hurt Floyd. Unless something amazing happens, $$ forces a rematch with a bs decision, or the judges just hate Floyd's 0 loss record, this will be a decision for Floyd.Comment

Honestly, I expect Jr. to come out more aggressive in the 2nd half of the fight. I think he'll spend the first half trying to wear Pac down and be very defensive minded.
Of course that could all go out the window and Jr. surprises the entire world by doing something he never attempted before. An aggressive first half!Comment
