Yeah I think Pacquiao has a good chance of hurting Mayweather. I also think that's his only chance. This idea that he bounces around and throws endless punches should have died years ago. Pacquiao is very flat-footed these days and the slowing down of his reflexes makes him even more open to shots as he jumps in.

I kind of laughed at these pics as clear hater pics/bait pics. Do you honestly think Pacquiao has gotten as far as he did and beaten the quality of opposition he has from being so perfect?

His wild and unpredictability matched by his speed/power, footwork are what make him trouble for all his opponents regardless if he's on point with technique or not.

It makes it hard to judge where the heck he'll be or the punches and showing him on 1 leg or head out in front has more to it than just a snap shot. Of course his head was out in front because he was on the offense with disregard for defense in those moments and expected his opponents to not be throwing any return fire.

Exactly. Manny is a freak of nature and even more athletic than Floyd is. We could easily snap pics of Floyd amateurish, Roy Jones type style as well. How he is constantly hit with jabs because of his hands down to his waist. Or how he gives you his body. Or how he has a very low punch output that an A Level fighter like Manny could expose. May 2nd cannot get here fast enough!

Manny can win but its going to much harder for him to impose his advantages than it will be for Floyd to. Pac is going to have to take chances, be busy, find ways to stretch out Floyd's defensive lulls that he has in rds where he isn't doing anything offensive. He can't become cautious or start thinking too much.

And that is both the key and fault .......

If Manny cannot impose his style on Floyd and force that pattern of fighting, then what is Manny's plan B?
I've never seen Manny change his style even for a moment .... And I have all of his fights.

The converse, is that if Manny cannot dictate how the fight is played out style-wise, then he will fall squarely into the strength of Floyd. Once Manny starts second-guessing what to do and when, Floyd is going to start pulling away because that is where Floyd is most comfortable dictating the tempo of the fight.

You really think that Manny has had this much success in boxing by being a crude brawler? Manny got alot better and developed his right hand when he went with roach and over the years his defense has been great. Manny wins 18 fights in a row going up in weight against the best in the world and only 1 fighter managed to land a lucky punch in a fight Manny was dominating and was seconds from knocking Marquez out, yet Manny has so many technical flaws? Hes very unorthodox but everything he does is calculated.

Let me clarify my point -- I didn't state that Manny was a "crude brawler" I implied that Manny is set in his pattern of fighting. And part of that pattern is to attack (offense) rather than defend. Manny's defense derives from his offensive assaults, because normally an opponent can't get-off his shots while trying to address the incoming assault. That style is Manny through and through.

The notion suggested by Roach, that Manny should calculate his activity and box Floyd is absurd. That just isn't going to happen, and it would be a sure-fire way to lose. Because in order to box Floyd, one would have to have a long history of boxing other opponents and be well practiced.

Manny doesn't have that boxers mentality, nor does he have the mind-set to be patient enough to expose and capitalize on opponent mistakes. Manny is a come forward whirlwind of activity and he is excellent within that realm. However when facing Bradley, who is a very good boxer, Manny had periods of difficulty that during many rounds couldn't be overcome. This exposes the reality that Manny is not a technical fighter, and didn't know how to shift gears by fighting differently.

I can freeze frame pics of floyd with his chin out and his hands down too. Actually you can do it for ANY boxer. So your pics prove nothing.

Stop it. Manny does this on a normal basis. Throughout his career Manny has been athletic enough to get away with it, or his opponent hasn't been skilled enough to take advantage of these glaring mistakes.

May 2nd is approaching. Your boy is about to look quite average in there.
