Because as long as he stays undefeated he could get a shot at Floyd or Manny for slightly more than the $5 mil. If Brook, KO's him, he gets the money but not another big payday.

Again, he gets exposure, a win, and if he makes a defensive mistake it probably doesn't cost him because ALgieiri has little pop.

The difference is that Gavin is British so its an easier sell to the casuals - it's a throwaway fight. It doesn't matter who it was. Brook doesn't even need to fight.

We now know Hern decided Chaves was too risky, the July date is no longer an option, Rios is not guaranteed and nor are the 3 fights
