Due to comments from both camps, nobody will have an excuse on May 2nd.

Yeah, it will be an advantage, I just don't see it being a fight deciding advantage.. if floyd beats manny it won't be because floyd was longer, but yes I can see floyd making manny lunge, but I think manny has fast enough feet to close the distance on floyd that it won't be a major advantage..

So, all sparring " stories " are true.

        Gotcha !

And, you are unbiased..... so will happily admit that the stories about Pacquiao getting wrecked in sparring by lots of fighters including Ortiz, Guerrero, Benavidas, etc..... are all true as well, right?

        LOL

What I can tell you is this.....

Most sparring stories are just that, stories..... most are made up, exaggerated, or overblown.

And the examples that are not made up, exaggerated, or overblown..... are likely due to a number of things, including..... the fact that one guy is ready to go, and the other guy just hit camp.....

        - now you get an example, the Spadafora myth..... Spadafora wrecked Mayweather, except when you watch the video and realise that it simply did not happen...... Spadafora performed way better than expected against a top guy who was not in training, that is all -

..... sickness..... an off-day..... recovering from an injury, and not wanting to commit 100%..... trying something new..... a particularly difficult style..... and a whole pile of reasonable/rational factors.

        Just ignore the stories !

It might not be, I agree. But it can be a big factor if Mayweather is able to use it.

He pretty much summed up everything that needs to be said about it. As long as he's getting in the work. May 2nd is what matters. Now taking a week off from sparring...that begs a lot more questions. Either way, I think both guys will he ready come may.

People are putting way too much into these sparring stories, especially since they never come with a credible source. If you hire good sparring partners, you will get tested from time to time.

Happens to everyone, remember the story of Karim Mayfield giving Pac all he could handle in sparring. Roach actually alluded to there being truth to the rumor by stating Mayfield was dismissed from camp because he was too aggressive.

At the end of the day it didn't mean ****, Pac still won the fight he was training for and we all know he would beat Mayfield in a real fight.

Floyd can act how he wants but everyone knows Floyd takes his training seriously. It's just that Floyd treats media day work out like any other day so he doesn't feel the need to do anything special.
Can someone take a whole week off of sparring going into the fight of their life?

There's a few stories about pac struggling with A class sparring. Vic Ortiz, Benavidez. Floyd supposedly struggled with Lamont Peterson, Spadafora, Spence. **** happens. Sparring when done right is supposed to push u.

I don't think you get it but that's ok the subject of mayweather vs PAC seems to bring the lowest common denominator to a lot of these threads. By "all the marbles" he was talking bragging rights, p4p status, ATG rankings, things of that nature . Prize fighters fight for a "prize" in the for of money, win or lose.

chickenfloyd is short of saying that he got beat indeed by judah...if a has-been judah knocked down chickenfloyd, there is no reason why pacman can't do it...

i now have serious doubts of chickenfloyd's preparation going into the fight...
