Why isnt HBO willing to throw some money in on Main Events behalf...?

EDIT: I meant to say, why not give the money to Duva for her to bid. Hasnt this been done before? Recently I think...
We've seen Haymon willing to put on cards even if it costs a lot more than what it brings in. HBO doesn't typically go there especially when Haymon would have put up a few million more than it was actually worth.

Perhaps Duva was hoping that HBO would let them have the fight and they said no and she had to now back off from the purse bid. In either instance, she's putting pride before I think whats best for Main Events and Kovalev.

They called her bluff now she is trying to save face by saying she is requesting a separate deal with an offer of 50/50 on HBO, knowing full well this will more then likely be turned down. However she can't save face here, because she is voluntarily relinquishing Kovolevs Mando position. So Duva basically secretly requested WBC make Kovolev mando and force a bid, with out including Stevensons people in these discussions, rather than just negotiating in the first place. Now she backs out and attempts to force terms. LMAO you cant make this ish up.
Yea remember for the first fight offer HBO put up only like 1 mill for both to split.doesn duva have any money?

purse bid has nothing to do with HBO. If duva won the bid she can place the fight at which ever network she pleases

This is almost as bad as Berto demanding PED testing for the Ortiz rematch and testing positive for steroids.

          Boxing is a tragic comedy.
You ever think maybe she thought she could get some financial backing to make a high bid but was unable to do so?
Al Haymon was going to win this bid regardless, and Kovale. Can't fight on anything but HBO so it doesn't even matter anymore. Unless Haymon lets Adonis fight on HBO then the fight is off

If this is the case, she should had made that part of the new contract with HBO.

"If we resign and we go to purse bid you must aid us financially with the purse bid."

Or some crap like that. You get my point. Lol

Yeah, exactly my point. HBO and Kovalev have been negotiating a new contract and HBO wouldnt want him fighting on a PBC card

It doesnt work like that and like I said Haymon would have put up far more than HBO would be willing to go.

I dunno all the ins and outs. Just throwing an idea out there. But you're right about Haymon.
