It was ridiculous for duva for demanding a purse bid in the first place jf she knew kovalev was signed to HBO. Which means the only way for the fight to go down is if Stevenson fights on HBO which he can. So if Stevenson doesn't fight kovalev him and haymon get the blame. Diva is absolutely right about stevensons diminishing popularity. Almost nobody watches his fights yet he still headlines cards.

Pretty simple situation to navigate. Duva thought Haymon would pull the same trick he did with Quillen, having him drop the title instead of fighting a forced bid mando, there by allowing Kovolev to fight for a vacant title. They called her bluff now she is trying to save face by saying she is requesting a separate deal with an offer of 50/50 on HBO, knowing full well this will more then likely be turned down. However she can't save face here, because she is voluntarily relinquishing Kovolevs Mando position. So Duva basically secretly requested WBC make Kovolev mando and force a bid, with out including Stevensons people in these discussions, rather than just negotiating in the first place. Now she backs out and attempts to force terms. LMAO you cant make this ish up.

The purse bid would've produced the most $. Why would Adonis agree to less $ when they both can get more? Kathy is just scared of Haymons bid, even though it would've benefited her client. I got Kovalev winning if they fight, but it seems his team realizes it's closer than public perception. Shame on them for turning down their own request (purse bid)!
