I'll be honest, I didn't expect Cotto to be taking on a middleweight to begin with. Good on him for at least taking on a dude who competes at the weight, even if it does have a dumb catchweight attached. It's more than I expected from Cotto and his team.

      ****ing lame.

I can't even root for Geale either because he wouldn't go from a Cotto fight to Golovkin. He'd use a bull**** voluntary and then someone avoid Golovkin after that to lose it to someone else who'd do the same ****.

No respect for the boxing traditions I see. We as fans have to let them know we ain't having this BS. Unfortunately most don't care about this lack of respect. Boxing is becoming a joke.

Cotto might fight Golovkin, but only at some terrible 154.9 catchweight that Golovkin can't make.

Golovkin would make the catchweight and knock Cotto out worse than he did Ishida. He said he could make 154 for the right fight and I do not have any reason to doubt him.

              The irony.

Cotto is a joke. I can no longer respect him like I did.
I know, Cotto used to be this badass warrior but in the past 2 years, he has been this feminine diva type guy who acts like he is some movie star or something.

If GGG gets more belts, and beats Canelo, then he can dictate terms. F**k a catchweight.

I think there are still a ton of question marks over Cotto's head and this catchweight proves his team know it. Even they don't know whether they have a revitalized Cotto, or whether they just caught Martinez on a good night, so they're playing it super safe with this catchweight.

I think Geale will still give Cotto a ton of trouble whether or not he has to make it down to 157. The catchweight just makes me think Cotto and his team know their chances aren't great against actual middleweights at 160 lb.

I'm not happy about this. Cotto needs to vacate and move down in weight.
