I don't know much about the sentiment for Khan in the UK but Froch obviously is really bothered by where Khan is being rated in boxing

Any way you look at it, Khan doesn't appear to be an elite welter and always looks to be in peril when fighting anyone of moderate danger to him.

Carl Froch hasn't exactly cruised through all of his top level fights. He has also been beaten twice and he has looked less than stellar in some of his wins. Ironically, Froch seems to do well against brawlers and Khan does well against the kind of boxers that give Froch nightmares.

Froch has fought the best 168 has to offer and not looked so great in some wins only conclusively losing 1 fight to the very best he could have possibly faced while Khan has lost fights and looked bad in fights he should with his talent dominate but he is not durable, always in danger of being stopped unless against paper fisted opponents.
Both have lost fights. Both have won world titles. I don't see how one is magically a top level fighter and the other isn't.
