I don't know much about the sentiment for Khan in the UK but Froch obviously is really bothered by where Khan is being rated in boxing

Oh ok so neither is Shawn Porter. Carl Froch was in much more serious danger against an untested prospect in George Groves.

What does Froch have to do with anything and have chinny mentally fragile fighters on the slide ko'd Groves in recent fights before he fought Froch?

Any way you look at it, Khan doesn't appear to be an elite welter and always looks to be in peril when fighting anyone of moderate danger to him.

The thread is about Carl Froch's comments on Amir Khan not being a top level fighter. Apparently you agree because Khan got dropped by Julio Diaz who in his previous fight arguably beat Shawn Porter who would go on to become a champion at welterweight.

Carl Froch hasn't exactly cruised through all of his top level fights. He has also been beaten twice and he has looked less than stellar in some of his wins. Ironically, Froch seems to do well against brawlers and Khan does well against the kind of boxers that give Froch nightmares.

Froch or the quality of fighter he is has nothing to do with Khan and the quality of fighter he is, they are unrelated topics. Froch has fought the best 168 has to offer and not looked so great in some wins only conclusively losing 1 fight to the very best he could have possibly faced while Khan has lost fights and looked bad in fights he should with his talent dominate but he is not durable, always in danger of being stopped unless against paper fisted opponents.

And Froch is always in danger of getting his **** boxed off by the similar kind of opponents that Khan does dominate - Jermain Taylor, Andre Dirrell, Andre Ward, George Groves.

Both have lost fights. Both have won world titles. I don't see how one is magically a top level fighter and the other isn't.

Froch lost one fight against the best available opponent and beaten all of the best remaining 168lbers, Khan has come no where close to doing this in any weight class.

Khan was unified champion at 140lbs and the only guy he didn't beat refused to get in the ring with him - Tim Bradley because "what if I lose to Khan?"

                  Didn't come close doe.

You know it was because of the Pac fight on the table at the time right? Who could blame him? Still it doesn't matter why fights didn't happen he didn't fight and beat the best at 140 and is not going to do that now at 147.
