I think Danny needs to leave his dad if he wants to improve. He needs a trainer that trains fighters, not boxers. Roach or Garcia could make him a much better fighter. He has has not improved at all since the first time I saw him fight. He looks exactly the same, no new wrinkles to his game. His dad can still be a part of his training but he needs a more experienced trainer. He has two things you can't teach, a solid chin and a cannon for a left arm.

Hate to break it to you but Danny Garcia was just never that good. Ordinary.

at his peak his talent was disgustingly good, like historically elite level talent
his detractors want to downplay him as much as possible but whatever, the dude has talent in spades

Danny is similar in the sense that he can be seen throwing punches that make you scratch your head. Amateurs have better form. He gets hit with certain shots that, again ... Wtf? ... But with all that being said the dude consistently finds a way to win in spite of all his shortcomings.
That's the connection I'm trying to make. No one would teach someone to fight like PAC because it's wrong ... It's just not how your supposed to really right but PAC is an ATG... He made it work.
Mayorga is another example that makes the same point... Feel free to switch PAC with Mayorga in the example I used because it obviously ruffled some feathers.

Because it simply won't work for most people... It will get them KO'd.
