Martinez’s promoter, Lou DiBella, spoke about this with BoxingScene.com on April 9, though he didn’t specifically say what Martinez will do.

“I think Sergio’s given you a pretty good clue on things. Sergio will make whatever announcement he’s going to make when he’s ready,” DiBella said, adding later: “I’m pretty sure Sergio will be making an announcement about his future in the not-too-distant future.”

How this man passed a physical yet wasn't cleared to run til 30 days before his last fight is beyond my comprehension. Dibella worked some hella magic to get him cleared to fight, a year later the guy can barely walk yet a year ago got a boxing license.

You do sometimes have to wonder about these fuckers who serve on the commission medical boards. They must search high and low for doctors who have that little integrity.

You mean the same commission that said Manny Pacquiao can suffer from infection from dangers of needle re-use if he does random testing in 2009/2010.... NEEDLE REUSE!!! basically saying testers are going to re-use needles!!! My pharmacy can give out 1000 new needles but the commission medics were concern about needle reuse..
