Rigo's promoter won the purse bid for the Avalos mandatory with a bid of 300k or so. Rigo was going to make just over 200k and Avalos was getting 80k

Yet people wonder why Avalos chose to fight Frampton instead.

How is this a unification bout? Rigo is Super WBA amd Quigg is ordinary champ per the article.

its the opposite of it, if the Super Champ wins the "Regular" belt becomes Vacated and either the Number 1 contender and the Interim champion fight for it OR.. the Interim champ becomes Regular and Number 1 vs number 2 ranked fight for the Interim while the Super Champ never has to fight another contender because they are bussy fighting for interim belts..
