O Danny what 18 months can do to a career of a boxer. After the Lucas fight you were considered a legit opponent to Mayweather but after the last 2 fights having not looked great even by winning. Seems that he is at a cross road of his career. He will beat Peterson but really needs to be in a fight that gets people talking about him. This guy has beaten Khan and Lucas which is not a easy task but feel that in the last 18 months he has taken steps back which is a shame. I think a Broner fight would be good for him but don't think that will happen. Thank you Al Haymon........

Yeah I bet he is ready to move up too 147 as long as he can keep fighting bums and bring opponents up from 140 to fight, I bet he has no problems with that at all.

With Daniel's Garsh, I would like to see him jump straight to cruiserweight.

The only reigning lineal champ to actively take his career backwards. Unbelievable considering the paths he could have taken. Danny won the fight, but Lucas is the one giving the fans what they want.

Matthysse Vs Provo is the fight any self respecting fan would watch, simply because they don't come around often enough. Danny will be fighting an exhibition match against Matthysse's leftovers, with nothing on the line and no apologies for it

Indefensible considering the opportunity he had to set an example. That said, Danny seems like a nice guy, while history would suggest that Angel isn't, so thats likely a factor, but ultimately Danny is the one who signs the contract.

He should go to 147 once he beats Peterson. His next fight will be vs Berto at 147.

I got theories. Daniel hurt his right arm in round 9-10 against Zab. Felt a tightness and had issues overall with the right arm/shoulder. Knowing Angel, there was an issue with that arm and perhaps they wanted a soft or two, to make sure Daniel was 100% when it mattered. Angel is the type of guy who would never arm the enemy with information concerning an injury or weakness to be exploited.

Maybe he'll fight at 144 next, and 145 after that, and so on...

                      Baby steps.
