It seems very rushed for me. He has many fighters but not that much to be sensible to make PBC belts in every 14 weightclasses.

More commercials that we want or at least thats what you want.

I wish i was part of PBC. Getting a check from then would be awesome.
Obtaining sponsors is indicative of people believing in what you are doing. Haymon had to drop at least $20 million for his tv slots. It's common knowledge that he needs sponsorship to recoup his money. Haymon may have deep pockets, but they're not bottomless. He must secure sponsorship if wishes to continue his venture on network tv.

The Tigers are middle of the pack in terms of value, and baseball is declining in popularity with young people.
The Tigers are worth what they are because of the franchise fee that MLB charges for new teams and the almost impossible challenge of starting a new team as MLB has no current plans for expansion. They also have players under long term contracts for the most part. There is no franchise fee in boxing and the PBC is attempting to become MLB, not one team in MLB. Unless Haymon has every fighter under long term exclusive contract to PBC, he has nothing to sell to anyone but a name and a concept.

There is nothing preventing someone with deeper pockets from coming along and starting their own boxing league and buying network time. In fact, someone could come along and start their own boxing television network if they had enough money.

No he doesn't need sponsorships,, he needs a TV deal, much like how UFC has one with fox...

Haymon is spreading around his fighters to all the networks hoping that 2 years from now, someone will sign a tv deal...

Commercials and such are not really important now to the endgame....

Having strong ratings in key demographics are what haymon is after..

The Tigers are a team that has been around over a century, there is no new teams haven't been for like 2 decades. Yes PBC is attempting to become a league but not like MLB, it is a single entity structure like MLS or UFC.

Nothing was stopping that deep pocket person before, but now if that deep pocket person decides they will be starting out behind Haymon which is a huge disadvantage. Like the AFL, USFL, ABA they will be going into the teeth of an already established entity.

Sports business is a past time of mine I enjoy reading about and thinking about it, you are talking to the wrong person if you want to try and sound smart.

Don't you get it? It's a LONG TERM PLAN!!! Could take 10 years or more! They could end up losing over 1 billion dollars before they turn a profit. Totally normal. People do it every day. According to some delusional fools around here anyways.
