It would be pretty funny if sanctioning bodies decided to strip PBC champions or challengers of whatever belts they hold.

The thing about this one size fits all, unified platform is that before it's going to get better, it's gonna get worse. It won't happen over night. And until then, we're going to have years and years of promotional/network wars until PBC becomes as big as the UFC and have the majority of fighters under their organisation.

In the short term it's the worst thing that could happen to boxing. In 15-20 years time, it might prove to be the best thing. But getting there is going to be a long, frustrating, process.

That is true because those in power will not give up without a fight, and very few revolutions end smoothly.

That said a lot depends on that tact that Haymon takes, if he can offer benefits to those that are in power now to siphon them off to his side or at least neutral in the equation the battle could be over before it even starts considering how unorganized boxing is.

They don't like the guy that is assuming control. Like Bob Arum, Suiliman's kid, De La Hoya, Schaeffer or Gilberto Mendoza would be any better.

I don't care who it is as long as we can have one organization, one champion and some type of structure.

Not really. The next in line, or #1 ranked can fight for the new vacant title.

How is that achieved by yet another belt awarding organisation? Worse still, an organisation owned by a guy who also promotes and manages fighters.

Some seriously delusional stuff on this thread. Boxing's corrupt practices exist because they're profitable. A guy motivated by profit is not the guy who's going to remove them.

We already see PBC being as full of **** as any other organisation in this sport. Not even mentioning Sergey Kovalev's name to Adonis Stevenson,
calling Deontay Wilder the heavyweight champion of the world.

They're not trying to drag boxing out of the shit. They've dived head first into it and are just looking to become the rulers of the shit pile. The same as every other sanctioning body or promotional organisation started in this sport.
