Yes, he clearly won. Not by a landslide but clearly! So now Danny wasn't supposed to lose a round? You guys are comical! All boxing fans know, that guys like Matthysse don't give up, period! His eye was closed from a punch! No matter what u guys CHOOSE to believe. The lesser fighter that night lost. Get over it! Anything can happen in a rematch, but it doesnt change the 1st fight. I wouldn't mind a rematch but it's not at the top of my list. There's so many guys at 147, that I'd rather see them fight at least once!

        Yes one dimensional...

not trying to discredit or downgrade him, but he is a come forward bomber..

Danny timed him after a few rounds and lucas had no plan B and basically kept coming in, even though his eye was closed, made no adjustments and towards the end, danny was just bombing on him..

Lucas reminds me of manny pac in the 126 and under days, when he was one dimensional,,, jab jab straight left... It wasn't till morales beat manny that manny started to develop a more well rounded game... Lucas may change and get better but right now he is basically a bomber much like a young packman

It was a tough fight early on for the champion but the tide completely changed after Matthysse's right eye began to swell shut. From that point on, Garcia took over the contest and won a twelve round unanimous decision.

Garcia-Matthysse was close though. Garcia boxed very well, got lucky with the eye and still the fight was close. If Matthysse is one-dimensional then not much more can be said for Garcia.

Rematch never gets made now, but hopefully Garcia fights Maidana at 147.
              It was two fights ago

I agree with you.... It was close,,,, so was manny-morales 1, manny-marquez 2
                manny-augie.......

And i made no claims that garcia is some well rounded fighter... but he is a little more versatile than lucas.. Danny has showed the ability to fight off his back foot and be a matador..

Lucas maybe one dimensional but he is great at that one dimensional..

If lucas is versatile he should have no problem handling an even more one dimensional ruslan

In that specific fight it was one dimensional due to the eye and depth perception being ****ed up. But in no way, overall, is Matthysse a 1 dimensional fighter...

EDIT: What are you smoking? Matthysse is far from a 1 handed/1 punch fighter.
