Comments Thread For: Matthysse: Danny Garcia Dodging Me, He Felt My Punch

Lucas Matthysse (36-3, 34KOs) is still hoping to lure WBC/WBA 140-pound champion Danny Garcia back in the ring. Matthysse faced him in September 2013 as part of the Floyd Mayweather-Saul Alvarez pay-per-view undercard.

It was a tough fight early on for the champion but the tide completely changed after Matthysse's right eye began to swell shut. From that point on, Garcia took over the contest and won a twelve round unanimous decision.

He has a point, Danny hasn't faced a puncher since Lucas, and wanted no part of a rematch.

Rematch never gets made now, but hopefully Garcia fights Maidana at 147.

I want Fanny to fight Thurman, Brook and Porter at 147.

The Maidana fight is more likely to happen than any of those fights though.

Lucas better worry about what he has in front of him now and worry about Garcia later
