I disagree I think Goosen was doing a good with him until Ward got greedy. Although his gate wasn't great he did pretty good tv numbers and Goosen managed to make it so he never left the US when he was the unknown guy in the super 6 to me that's a great promotional job.

Goosen did a good job with the super six but not so good a job before that. The last U.S gold medal winner should never have been the unknown guy in the first place.

I honestly don't see ward taking golovkins power. I guess at 168 GGG may be just too small and Ward can smother him and tie him up for yet another ugly decision.

Defence/skills/timing/speed are all better than power man..... and Ward kills Golovkin with all of the above.

What did floyd say that was outrageous or wrong? You guys that call him boring, it has paid off...he's undefeated and the richest athlete in sports.
When he changed his persona to Money May, he started to make more money and get more notoriety. Broner like him or hate him, puts the asses in the seats, look at when he's mentioned on this site in a thread, people check and comment. look at Ward (gold medal winner, family man, religious, doesnt get in trouble) and still hated. Yes he would beat GGG and rough him up. When ggg's power doesnt do anything, he's gonna have to "box" to win and he's gonna be at a disadvantage when they are in the late rounds cause he rarely ever goes that long in a fight. Floyd didnt say anything others arent thinking, but its Floyd so hate on...

I would have Ward a huge favorite over GGG if they fought today.

Ward is vanilla, GGG is neapolitan.

Neapolitan is the " in " flavor this month.

Anyone that understands boxing knows GGG would be a solid underdog against Ward. Not a no hoper, but it would most definitely be an upset if he won.

I'm anxious to see how Ward looks in his comeback fight this summer. Predictions about the outcome of a Golovkin-Ward matchup should wait until then.

Furthermore, I know this has been pointed out on numerous occasions, but I wish Gennady's critics could take a step back and really think about this situation. Every you say "Fight Ward", you are simply admitting how good Gennady really is. It would be one thing if Ward was a MW, but if Genna's only real threat is a top 3 p4p undefeated champion in the weight class above his own (not to mention that he makes 160 easy and Murray was obviously the bigger man in their fight), then doesn't that in and of itself make him a special fighter?

Even if he loses to Ward, that doesn't change much. He could still be considered one of the best MWs of all time, who just happened to lose to one of the best SMWs of all time.

IM GONNA SHUT YOU UP TODAY.....Floyd was retired for what? 18months...how many fights could he have had in this time vs ALL the people you claimed he was ducking...he would've UD'd Margarito who got KO'D by mosely, he ended up fighting cotto, whom admitted that his side didnt want the Floyd fight when you guys say he should've fought him. (COTTO said this) and P will was fighting the middleweight champion for 2 fights. Ward has fought three times since Froch in Dec 2011. If he had fought at the same pace as GGG, he could have had 12 fights in that period of time. That would be 9 more than he did have. That's a lot of fights missed.
