Comments Thread For: Mayweather: Hands Down, Andre Ward Beats Golovkin

WBA/WBC welterweight and junior middleweight champion, Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs), is training for the fight of his life on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas - when he unifies with WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather took a small break to discuss some of the other top fighters in the sport - like WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward, WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin and former three division champion Adrien Broner.

Both Andre Ward and GGG would agree with this statement.

i dont like this statement from floyd b/c he could open the door for the black fighters who get ousted b/c they are too good...so ppl wont follow them but will talk about them all day long bc they kno the threat of that fighter and he will beat their cash cow who might be exciting but not on the level he needs to be to win vs the very best...BUT I CANT BLAME FLOYD..U PUNK ASS FANS and wack commissions ARE THE REASON FOR THIS ****...every nba team has to play everyteam, but fighters pick and select based off money and how dangerous a mf is comparing the risk...AL HAYMON IS ABOUT TO CHANGE ALL OF THIS...nbc will be getting 3-5 million viewers a pop...every boxer will have a base hopefully

I honestly don't see ward taking golovkins power. I guess at 168 GGG may be just too small and Ward can smother him and tie him up for yet another ugly decision.

Floyd also thought that Broner would beat Maidana and that he could beat Spadafora and we know how well that turned out

one can easily understand why chickenfloyd picks ward over golovkin...

if they are at the same weight, chickenfloyd will duck ggg like he did to pacman for years...

Would you believe chicken Floyd talking about a boxer to fight somebody hands down and still win a fight. Chicken Floyd got too many things going thru his mind today, he is completely disillusioned and confused. Just imagine going to a fight hands down and expect a victory. This guy is sick in the mind.
