Even though we know GGG shouldn't and wouldn't agree with this statement I 100% agree with it.

Same as Kovalev would hands down beat Stevenson.

Somethings are just to easy to see and those 2 fights for me are easy to pick the winner of.

He might not be a no hoper before the fight but if his power is ineffective he will be a no hoper inside of 4 rounds.

But you have to think that a pure boxer like Floyd is always going to favor a boxer over a puncher/in-fighter like Golovkin. Although, as he admitted, he's only watched one Gennady fight, and he probably underestimates his boxing ability. Regardless of what GGG's detractors say, and regardless of the style he uses in particular fights, he has very good boxing skills. You don't win Olympic medals without being able to box effectively.

I'm anxious to see how Ward looks in his comeback fight this summer. Predictions about the outcome of a Golovkin-Ward matchup should wait until then.

Furthermore, I know this has been pointed out on numerous occasions, but I wish Gennady's critics could take a step back and really think about this situation. Every you say "Fight Ward", you are simply admitting how good Gennady really is. It would be one thing if Ward was a MW, but if Genna's only real threat is a top 3 p4p undefeated champion in the weight class above his own (not to mention that he makes 160 easy and Murray was obviously the bigger man in their fight), then doesn't that in and of itself make him a special fighter?

Even if he loses to Ward, that doesn't change much. He could still be considered one of the best MWs of all time, who just happened to lose to one of the best SMWs of all time.

            Think about it.

              Jr's statement makes me sick.

He makes it sound like when he fights we can expect to see the level of pro wrestling circut. Like every fight is set up for him to win and his opponent to lose.

KNOWING that he avoided the Prime Elite fighters of the past 15 years, prime in mind and body, size and strength, its no wonder this dude has his winning streak.

If not for OTHERs who are great fighters and put on great fights Boxing would be left to Jr and be a circus act and YOU WOULD NOT FIND ME.

It will be wonderful when he is gone to his final retirement.

This was all I could read without puking.

BORING has paid off ? "peeleft:

It's all about styles, you're fooling yourself if you don't think this matchup favors Andre Ward, who also happens to be the bigger man. I think Abel Sanchez wrote a check his fighter can't cash, he said GGG would be able to beat anybody from 154-168 yet he's unwilling to move up even to seek better fights. Yet, his fans still think he'll be able to just move up and KO Andre Ward of all people.

He's probably right. Ward's style and skill is a nightmare for Golovkin.

Those are fair points, but people talk about that match up a lot because GGG's trainer made the comment about GGG beating everybody up to 168 pounds. It's on him really.
