You may dislike his style,it's your right, nonetheless Ward is a supremely well rounded fighter.

I'd pick Ward, but I'm not saying Kovalev has no chance, that's what makes it a great fight.

    I agree, it's a great fight
A great fight indeed, however don't act like Froch was some impossible to outbox fighter.. lol Pascal went 12 with him, it was a close fight, some say Pascal was robbed.

We all know what Kovalev (who wasn't focused for this fight) did to Pascal, the one and only who dropped him and KO'd him

really can't say a lot about beterbiev at this stage. all he's had to show is power and a few tricks to set it up.

ward doesn't lose to jean freaking pascal
pascal is coming off of a war with the cuban gonzalez fella, and was beat up and knocked out by kovelpoop.

in his prime he lost to a guy ward embarrassed, named carl froch.

you guys can't be taken seriously when you talk like that. you just can't

Nobody but Ward made Froch look completely outclassed, what has Pascal to do with anything?

Kovalev beat Pascal more convincingly than Froch, so what?

Ward fights nothing like Pascal: he can move, he can box, he likes to slip on the inside, has an exceptional defense.
Against Kovalev he'll need to be in top shape, menthally and physically, 'cause Kovalev is dangerous.
Still, if it goes to a decision , as i think it will, I favor Ward to get the nod.

Nobody but Kovalev knocked down Pascal, not only this but won with a KO.

Ward isn't known for being a power puncher, I just cannot see Ward keeping Kovalev at bay.. if you do not possess the power to keep Kovalev back you are meat IMHO

anyone saying kov will destroy ward is crazy, even if he wins it will be close these guys are crazy. no active boxer from 160-175 destroys ward.

              I disagree,

You don't necessarily need to beat power with power.

Ward has the skills to negate Kovalev's offense by frustrating him, that's what Floyd has been doing at WW and above.

The fight wouldn't be full of fireworks imo, it would more likely be what many call a "boring decision":
Kovalev getting outboxed in a slow/mid paced fight, winning a few rounds on some cards for "being the aggressor".

Anyway, a great fight, may the best man win when and if it happens.

Roy jones/pascals style to be remotely competitive.

Ward imo gets stopped inside of 10 rounds.
Of it were to somehow go all 12,kova wins a
9~3 type decision.kova is all wrong for ward.
                Wow logic in NSB. Amazing.
                Good post.

                  Really?

                  • Froch looked lethargic and weak that night against Ward, but he was a man on fire, strong and relentless against Bute.

I wonder why such a difference in the same fighter?

What made him so relentlessly aggressive against Bute?

                    • Where's the option that says Kov by default because Ward never steps in the ring?

In any case Kovalev by knockout.
