Lest ye forget, Lara has stones.

Ya know, it seems to me that Lara making GGG win a boring decision would work in GGG's favor.

Unless all this "everybody is ducking me" is bs.

GGG needs to be seen in distress.

He should lose one. Eye test says no, but I've been wrong before.

    Or is it all hype?
I 100% believe Lara would be easier than Murray. Murray's size and toughness allowed him to last a lot longer than Lara would. He isn't a smart enough mover to avoid Golovkin.

Murray had the size and was able to take GGG's power for awhile. Lara would get hit once or twice and run for his life. He does not have anywhere near the punching power to bother GGG and Golovkin would walk right through his best shots with no effect. It would not surprise me at all to see a GGG KO in the third round or earlier. First solid shot and Lara is toast.

I respect your opinion though I disagree w/ur last sentence.

Lara is slippery. I think he lasts the 12 . That's gotta' help GGG's cause.

        Or not?

Yeah easier than Murray because Murray is a legit middleweight, very durable. Lara is junior middleweight who is a bit fragile at 154. Just watch what Angulo did to Lara knocking him down twice and Angulo is slow as hell and lacks any type of skill.

It's not that I don't think Lara isn't any good, it's that I think it's a mismatch because of the size difference, difference in power and style. I don't think Lara would make it past 4-6 rounds. He wouldn't have the power to keep Golovkin off him and keep him honest. Golovkin would walk him down and floor him after a few decent flush shots. It's not a fair fight. But I'd like to see it happen regardless.

So, Lara's next fight is on HBO, right?

Maybe he can literally run enough to avoid Golovkin, but I doubt it. Lara isn't a smart mover, he moves just to move and corners himself often. When one of the best fighters in the sport at cutting a ring off is up against a guy who will run into a corner in order to avoid fighting, it's a recipe for disaster.

The responses in this thread are why Golovkin's people should make this happen if possible. He can actually shut people up when he blasts Lara out, and I have no doubt he would. There aren't many fights you can say that about with GGG.

                  Very convincing.

So why does Lara ask for it?

Is he that afraid of obscurity? Honest question.

Or what do you think he sees?

                      GGG vs Quillin

But that makes too much sense
It would be Lara and not Quillin because they are actually building PQ up. Lara is just....there.

Why doesn't Lara step up to 160 and prove himself first? It just seems like he wants to be gifted a title shot. Lara knows that Floyd will never fight him, but Lara seems averse to a fight with Andrade. I just don't understand him.
