Truth is, at 160lbs, the competition is almost non existent. So much that GGG fanatics are pinning the glory on a win over an ex Jr. Welter.


Facts.

Beating Cotto does nothing for GGG's reputation in my eyes. But winning the WBC title puts him one step closer to unifying the division. That is his goal and what he wants to do before moving up. I want him to achieve his goal as soon as possible.

In the meantime, I would like to see Canelo move completely into the division and fight GGG. I think a Canelo - Cotto fight is as pointless as GGG - Cotto. Money wise, sure it's great. But for the sport? Pointless, as Canelo will enter the ring at a higher weight than GGG would.

There are other possibilities down the road at MW that are more interesting to me than anything at SMW right now, those are Saunders, Lemieux, Lee, and Andrade and Lara if they decide to move up to MW. The only thing at SMW would be Ward and that is a boring fight that holds no interest to me. At least not until Ward gets back in the ring and proves that he can bring something decent to the party.

You just described every other post in here. THIS is what "fans" do... You do it as well as anybody else in this forum.

I am sincere in every post I make. I have said that Monroe is not much of a challenge for GGG. But when someone fights 4 times per year, I also understand that not every fight will be a great one. I much prefer seeing two decent fights per year and two fillers, to only one fight or in some cases, one fight every two years.

I'm pinning his glory on him beating up and maybe KOing Andre Ward, who is twice the boxer Cotto ever was. Really, I just want Gennady to be the undisputed MW champion before he moves up to 168, which can't happen while Cotto is in hiding.

If Golovkin fought Lara and destroyed him, the haters would

In other words, you can't name so much as ONE person. Didn't think so. Like all the GGG haters, all talk no facts.

In all honesty, I can't think of anyone really at 160lbs... The only name that comes to mind is Ward @168 and GGG has already said Ward is not $$ PPV.
