The fights really aren't that competitive thus far, Beterbiev-Campillo was a wipe-out, Stevenson-Bika was 11-1, Broner-Molina Jr 12-0, Mares v sparring partner.
Thurman-Guerrero was the best fight, but I think it was like a 10-2 type fight.
I agree, support the principle of boxing on network TV but fans shouldn't be blind to the quality of the product because for it to succeed and sponsors to be interested, it has to be good and thus far the match-ups have left something to be desired, they're mostly typical Haymon match-ups (i.e. big money for one-sided fights) and therein lies the problem.
Haymon is caught between being a manager and a promoter, he's getting the big paydays for his guys as a manager with low-risk like he used to do but with PBC he now needs exciting fights to build a following and he can't do that without high risk bouts.
lol I'm not sure people wanted to see it on any television, or at least no one was calling for it.Last edited by Weebler I; 04-05-2015, 12:25 AM.Comment

Hoping they succeed shouldn't doesn't mean ignoring shortcomings.

Nearly all the fights were good competitive fights on paper... Just happened to be some lopsided fights in reality, but can't really blame the matchmaking.. They seem to be matching guys up in the main event pretty solid while trying to test young guys on the undercards..
who exactly is Haymon's matchmaker?
is there somebody else or is is haymon himself doing the matchmaking?Comment
