I'd be so happy if Algieri pulled this off, but it's a terrible style matchup.

and when have you seen me go boasting about how great that fight would be?
Stop reaching khan even said that he picked him out of "desperation".
British star Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) admits that his back was against the wall when he selected former WBO 140-pound champion Chris Algieri as his opponent of choice for this coming Friday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. One of Khan's first selections was Adrien Broner. Khan says Broner refused to back away from his demand for a catch-weight, which is likely true considering Broner is making Shawn Porter fight him at 144-pounds on June 20th.Comment

No, but you do justify it. He is a Lineal Champ and not just a fringe belt holder.and when have you seen me go boasting about how great that fight would be?

Fact is Khan is ducking Brook at the moment, temporary, but a duck nonetheless. I along with almost all Khan fans on this site admit to it. Some even rip him, but my whole point is that Algieri isn't as bad of an opponent as people make it out to be albeit there is an element of winding people up.
Where as your Cotto Brigade dub this b.s. as "testing MW waters". How? By fighting a 2nd catch weight fight? Also it isn't Khan draining people out of their balls like Miguel who said he'd use every advantage against anybody at 160 lbs.

When was the last time Khan fought someone taller than him? Prescott?
If Algieri had any kind of power, he might have a chance because Khan struggles when he doesn't have that advantage.
I see Khan winning but perhaps not looking impressive which would actually be brilliant cos it puts a spanner in the works for this seemingly inevitable Mayweather fight that he should not get.Comment

I'll admit that trick Khan pulled in that gif is impressive... I've never seen that done before. No, but you do justify it. He is a Lineal Champ and not just a fringe belt holder.
