I'd be in favor of all WBA (Regular) titles being stripped. There should only be one real champion per sanctioning body.

I didn't know they would strip him. Thought it would go to purse bids and the loser would vacate.

Neither Froch or Ward wanted to fight each other really so this probably works out well for both of them.

Shouldn't Ward be the one who gets stripped? He holds the higher level title and it is his mandatory defense, not Froch's.

          The regular title is bogus.

This seems like a strange move since the purse bid would have surely brought huge competing bids.

Oh well. Ward's career is just going down the drain with every passing month.

Good. Now enforce this same rule in the other divisions.

Ward wanted it first time in his life he was willing to travel

What, because he said it in an interview? He said the same **** about 3 years ago after Froch beat Kessler in a rematch. "I'll fight at Wembley" - that was never going to happen. Like Froch said - hot air.

Ward has few options and has started to concede things he normally wouldn't Froch has finding more excuses . Since Groves he has been backing off in fighting everyone hoping to fight Chavez probably faked an injury even. Froch has lost his fire .

He didn't concede anything - he talked to the press and said what they wanted to hear. Probably knowing full well that the fight wasn't going to happen.

Chavez represents Froch's most lucrative fight. Why wouldn't he want that? Ward has been giving names to networks hoping for tune-ups.

This was an inconvenience to both fighters' plans which now apparently has been eliminated.
