If Khan gets beaten he loses a huge amount, it's risky for Brook also but more so for Khan. fighting Algeiri and then waiting to see what happens with Mayweather Pacquaio is a logical move.

    It's the safe move.

The exact same safe move that Khan fans spent years mocking Tim Bradley for, and are now defending.

It only matters how many times you get up if you do something with it.

Marquez got put down 3 times in round 1, he got up and won most of the next 11 rounds. Algieri got knocked down, got back up in survival mode and continued getting dominated and put on the floor for all 12 rounds...I don't get why someone deserves props for going the distance, especially against a version of Pac who hadn't stopped anyone in 6 years.

That's what happens when you try try to punch, you give up openings. Especially if the other guy is one of the best of this era. It is difficult when all you do is stand there with your hands up.

Brook fans know this better than anyone: Robles, Jones and Matthew Hatton. We're talking past the 25 fight mark, none of them being come back bouts.

Manny is super elite level boxer.
Problem is that many think that he didn't beat Provo - yes he got away with gift desision but saying that he beat Provo is a bit misleading.

The day that Algieri won a split decision over Prov was a bad day for boxing because it gave a track star like Algieri a reason to keep boxing. His ONLY strength is his fast backward movement, and that ain't boxing. I'm hoping Khan or someone else puts Algieri out of his misery soon.

I have no doubt that Khan would win. They are similar in ways with solid footwork, tall, fast, but like Pauli, Algieri does not have any real power to hold off Khan and when that happens, Khan's greater physical strength and power (compared to those guys) would make the difference.
