I know, but this isn't aimed directly at you but more so to all the folks on here whom continually feel victimized and bash any fighters not from US soil.

African Americans have always and will always be key fighters to the sport. They bring talent along with their game and it just helps fighters around them improve. Sadly, Mexico doesn't have too many notable fighters in the higher weights but if we did I'm sure the rivalry would be lightyears ahead of where it's at now.

Although I enjoy every fighter regardless of color, race, nationality or anything else that doesn't involve their skill and abilities in the ring.

We have many more champs and fighters ranked in the top 10 of each division and they're not matching most of them vs PR's best in those divisions. In a real rivalry we'd match our best vs PR's best in each division, but it won't happen because Mexicans would ruin the "rivalry" with wins. Our team is just too deep. Furthermore, alot of the higher profile matchups that do happen are Prime Ricans vs smaller Mexicans who alota times aren't in their prime. But it makes money so, fuck it.....

P.S. I've noticed that since Cotto used hugging tactics vs Margarito, alot of the fighters he promotes have begun doing the same. He's obviously advising them to do so. If that keeps up nobody will be interested in our rivalry because it will lack the brutality and drama of yesteryear's fights.

PR's have my respect for producing so many champs and having a small country with a population size of Mexico City tho. We're going to need all the help we can get from them and all Latinos because the Asian onslaught of fighters inspired to try boxing because of Pacquiao............... are coming and they will come very, very strong with an enormous pool of Asian talent that's never been seen before or ever again. Be ready for super human Asian fighters in about 5 years!!!
