East and west European fighters along with Cubans are at the top of the respected divisions over Mexican and Rican natives. Nam sayin? Which divisions does Mexico have on lockdown besides 175lb light middleweight Canelo? Mexico and PR are more of a cliche as having the elite fighters this day in age. Truth hurts but when you have JCC Jr piggy backing off his dads name fighting at a made up division, you know your country has dropped off.
Request: Mexico vs Puerto rico Rivalry

I think Puerto RIco is on break cause their country is really fked up too much to even get enough youth into boxing . Mexico has always been fked up, so they used to it, and it's also a lot bigger and a bigger population means their social **** doesn't affect sports as drastically unless it gets really really bad like Honduras bad.
Puerto Rico is a tiny Island the population ain't as big so social issues have a greater impact. I still remember when it wasn't a complete cluster fk too, quite sad what is happening there with the violence and drugs and all the goddamn guns in the street so fking many ain't even funny.Comment

Boxing exists below Welterweight
What truth? I'm not upset over anything nor do I hype Canelo or JCC Jr as any type of star. They are both decent fighters but Canelo does possess courage not often seen from Elite fighters nowadays.
Again, JCC Jr and Canelo are not our only fighters and if you are using their accomplishments and achievements as a gauge for the entire mass of Mexican boxing than you are lost. Mexico, Japan and the Philippines run the lower weights. Perhaps you may not be aware of this but boxing is alive and well below 122 pounds. In fact, Mexico vs Philippines >>> any type of Mexican rivalry with Cuba.
Javier Mendoza, Pedro Guevara, Juan Francisco Estrada, Carlos Cuadras and Orlando Salido are respectable champions at their respective weights. Aside from those names we have dozens of prospects rising through the ranks and attempting to make a splash in shark infested waters.
Wake up, Canelo and JCC Jr are not the beginning and end of Mexican boxing.Comment

Go to Wikipedia. Count The MEX victories and the PR victories. Mexico is winning by a huge margin. It's barely even a Rivalry. A Rivalry shows competitiveness but what matters in the end in any sport is WINNING.
Seahawks vs Fortywhiners is not a rivalry because it is not Competitive. Seattle has been beating the holy hell out of the Fortywhiners. THEREFORE, NO RIVALRY.Comment

Lara also lost to Carlos Molina and Yoan has cruiserweight on lock behind Huck? Lmao. 2nd place.Although Lara "lost" to Canelo he made him look like the one dimensional over rated corporately funded buffoon he is. Canelo being marketed as the next big thing which is idiotic because obviously in his prime years he has shown to be inferior to past greats. I mean seriously a UD with Mathew Hatton!? A UD with an archaic old man in Mosley!?
Guillermo already made Leo Santa Claus look like a baby back b*tch.
Gamboa can easily take back featherweight.
Yoan Pablo Hernandez has cruiserweight on lockdown behind Huck.
Mike Perez will likely get a title shot in the near future at heavyweight. And
Quilin may be ducking GGG currently but he will have his title back soon, while we reminisce back on the last mexican't who fought GGG last November looking like a spineless coward as he either took a dive or is the epitome of weak.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr? BAHAHAHHAHHAHAHA
You forgot to mention the current Gawd of Mexican boxing El Gallo EstradaComment

hopefully this helps you sleep better so you don't think about killing yourself when you wake up from your dream where Mexicans are irrelevant. Make sure you take off and wash that cuba pajama, you're not supposed to wear it all day, you know.
PS:I love how these people try to tell actual mexicans who their best fighters are. No, sorry to ruin your day, but they are not Chavez jr. and Canelo, not even close. Those "respected divisions" are weaker. There's a wider variety of countries and people represented in the lower weights. The same can't be said for the higher ones. Being dominant in the lower weights is harder than in the higher ones. Its no wonder flyweight is considered the gauntlet among weight classes.Comment
