lol from what i seen the mexicnas always making the purto ricans quit in the stool and knocking them out but lately its been more even i think.

We have many more champs and fighters ranked in the top 10 of each division and they're not matching most of them vs PR's best in those divisions. In a real rivalry we'd match our best vs PR's best in each division, but it won't happen because Mexicans would ruin the "rivalry" with wins. Our team is just too deep. Furthermore, alot of the higher profile matchups that do happen are Prime Ricans vs smaller Mexicans who alota times aren't in their prime. But it makes money so, fuck it.....

P.S. I've noticed that since Cotto used hugging tactics vs Margarito, alot of the fighters he promotes have begun doing the same. He's obviously advising them to do so. If that keeps up nobody will be interested in our rivalry because it will lack the brutality and drama of yesteryear's fights.

If anything is PR prospects been thrown to the wolves too early, their prospects are fighting for world titles at 10-15 wins.... canelo and chavez jr have 40+ wins against total cans before getting a tittle shot. Not to mention mexicans not only support but are proud of what margarito did, thats how deep their hate against puerto ricans are that they take any win even if its cheating.

I think when it comes to the Mex/Mex American vs Puerto Rico/ Puerto Rican American rivalry the fans win. They've produced some of the greatest fights amongst all time greats.
