Yea, I think that has a lot do with it. Although Kovalev-Pascal certainly put up some nice numbers. But The whole Mayweather-Pacquiao thing is going to end up hurting Showtime more.

No it's not that, it's because A) these are not popular names by any means and B) it was on Showtime which had pretty poor ratings this past year or so (with a few exceptions with the bigger names of course).

Basically, this card was never going to have good ratings. Russell vs Gonzalez is an undercard fight.

I caught it live, but on a scale of 1 to 10, my anticipation meter for this fight was about a 2.

I mean lets be honest here. Russell/Gonzalez is a co-main. Hell, f**king Loma & Russell was a co-main.

This fight had no chance ratings wise.
